The Board

Received an update regarding anticipated public health issues for the fall and winter from Rob Oldham, MD, Health Officer, Placer County, Aimee Sisson, MD, Public Health Officer, Yolo County and Melody Law, MD, Interim Public Health Officer for El Dorado County and Deputy Health Officer, Sacramento County.

Approved the 2025 Nominating Committee Report listing the 2026 slate of officers and delegation members.

Approved the recommendations from the Scholarship and Awards Committee to grant scholarships to Fatima Al-Musawi, 1st year student at U. C. Irvine School of Medicine; Christian Bryan De Guzman, 4th year student at U. C. Davis School of Medicine; Grecia Jimenez Macias, 1st year student at U. C. San Diego School of Medicine; Nicole. Nubla, 1st year student at CA Northstate University School of Medicine; Demond K. Rodgers, 3rd year student at U. C. Davis School of Medicine, and the Paul J. Rosenberg, MD Medical Student Scholarship to Shanti R. McQuirk, 1st year student at U. C. Davis School of Medicine.

Approved a revision to Board Policy 100-14: Guidelines for Distribution of Medical Student Scholarships that provides clarification of the Method for Determining the amount available for scholarships including scholarship fund raising protocols.

Serving as the Board of Directors to the Community Service, Education and Research Fund, reviewed the updated 501(c)(3) Timeline and approved changing the legal name of its supporting nonprofit organization from Community Service, Education and Research Fund to Sierra Sacramento Cares.

Approved the 2nd Quarter 2025 Financial Statements, Investment Reports and Recommendations.

Approved the July 2025 Financial Statements & Investment Reports.

Approved the revision to Board Policy 400-01 Employee Purchase Pension Plan regarding cash flow expectations.
